Yeah, the dodge and run were added for SOR3, though obviously Skate could already dash in number 2. SOR2 is probably my most played game of all time, but parts of this are absolutely kicking my arse. Oh, and the bit where you fight Roo and his trainer, except this bastard has TWO kangaroos! I tried the classic approach of killing him and letting the kangaroos live (and the game does reward you for it!), but my god it was hard with two of them kicking the crap out of me! The ninjas in the subway aren't nearly as slick at train dodging as they were in the Mega Drive games. I was impressed that they still have their double team moves and synchronised routines intact though. They were always nimble and irritating on SOR3 on the Mega Drive, but here I genuinely thought I might run out of time because they just wouldn't get on screen. With Mona and Lisa (I forget what their other names are), my main issue was that they ran away to a ludicrous degree. My finger was hovering over the police button the whole time. The other thing with the fire bosses is that they have upgraded versions of the thrust kicking martial arts dudes from SOR1 as back up, so you have fire sweeping in from both sides and then you're getting tagged with long range kicks at the same time.

It would of taken longer to wait for an improvement on this, so it was left out and more time was spent on improving the game itself. The music has been remixed by 5 different musicians, they are in OGG format (44khz, 128kbps) and contain practically all the songs in the original series, including Game Gear versions and some new tracks, a total of 76 songs. Over 10 designers have been working for years to create new sprites, creating 19 playable characters all with a complete set of moves, new enemies, new details on the stages and much more. There are stages in the game that are either completely new or remastered, adding more colors, more scrolling layers, interactive details not present in the original games and much more. The game includes original cutscenes between stages, totalling over 40 cutscenes and 8 endings. The following material has been created exclusively for Street of Rage Remake V5, and V4 (with all that implies). Tests have been conducted for months to ensure that the game plays well, plays accurately, has the smallest possible number of bugs and an appropriate difficulty level. * All functions of all the original games in the series are emulated: * Prediction of resources, to speed loading times. * Autosave savestates that allow you to continue the game from the same point, exit windows, alt+x, etc. * Grabs and vaults as in the original games. * The same score system algorythm that is used in SOR2. * Collisions and damages based on the original games. * 64 modules of AI per enemy to represent walking and reactions. * Animation timing, animation positioning, control response, X/Y/Z positions and physical movement for all characters are accurate to the original games. ItвЂ™s all based on visual interpretation, comparing how things work in the original games and trying to mimic it for Streets of Rage Remake.
